Sleeps up to 6. Two storey, detached and spacious. In design and décor terms closer to the style of Orlege but not quite so contemporary or grand. Our guests often liken this property to a tardis: appearing small from the outside, its spacious interior rarely fails to surprise. Though exceptionally well equipped, the kitchen area is compact but open-plan and adjacent to the lofty living area with its original hearth and multi-fuel stove. Oil-fired central heating. Good sized porch / utility area. Small enclosed garden, close to the road. Easy access.
3 bedrooms and 2+ bathrooms: 1 double with ensuite shower room and toilet, 1 single, both on ground floor and upstairs one family room with a double bed and 2 singles. Wheel-in shower with bath and toilet and upstairs a toilet with washbasin. Wheelchair, child and pet-friendly Visit our main website, www.crosswoodhill.co.uk for more details or to complete an availability form. You can find layout plans for all the cottages there.
Sleeps 4/6 - 2 storey. Part of the same farmhouse building as Orlege but the atmosphere in the Wing is totally different, transporting you back in time. Homely and traditional, it retains its original character and features such as 200 year old shutters, pine doors and panelling. Tastefully furnished with older, nicely crafted pieces; despite this slightly old-fashioned feel to it guests love the ambience and very quickly feel “at home”. The layout is maybe not ideal for all, particularly the less agile, as the bedrooms are upstairs and the power shower is over the bath in the sole bathroom. Extremely well equipped galley-style kitchen. Downstairs living-room for 4 seats 6 round the table and houses the multi-fuel stove. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms though the far away room -- with windows facing each other from which you can watch woodpeckers and other birds coming to the bird-table -- doubles up as a second living room (and looks like an attractive living room) with a double bed and a sofa bed. Additional to this is a double bedroom and bunk-bedded room. As with all of the cottages the central heating is oil-fired. Of all 3 properties the Wing has the nicest garden to relax or run around in.
